<image:title>Paw Pals Dog Daycare - Back to School: How it Affects Your Family Pet - Signs Your Pet Is Unhappy</image:title>
<image:caption>One of the first things you can try is to ease your pet into alone time. Instead of surprising them with your or your child’s sudden, prolonged absence on the first day of school, start spending time away from home in small increments. This way they can get used to not having their loved ones around all of the time. Also, leaving a used t-shirt or blanket with familiar smells may comfort them while you are gone. When animals are under stress or under stimulated, they tend to exhibit unusual or exaggerated behaviors. Separation anxiety usually results in telltale signs that include accidents, chewing of household items, excessive barking, scratching, panting, pacing, whining, disobeying comfortable commands, or waiting by the doors or windows for extended periods of time.</image:caption>

<image:title>Paw Pals Dog Daycare - Back to School: How it Affects Your Family Pet - Find Positive Distractions</image:title>
<image:caption>Dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, and many other pets love to be entertained. If you think your pet’s anxiety is a result of boredom, try giving them a new toy or hire a pet sitter! For dogs look into any local Doggy Daycare’s. Try to make departures and arrivals as calm and positive as possible. Giving a treat before you leave the house and when you get home is an excellent place to start. This may help your pet look forward to these times of day instead of dreading them.</image:caption>

<image:title>Paw Pals Dog Daycare - Back to School: How it Affects Your Family Pet - Keep Them Mentally Stimulated Throughout The Day</image:title>
<image:caption>Try leaving puzzle toys or games out while you’re away. These typically require your dog to “solve” a puzzle to get to a treat. Even freezing your pets favorite treat in a long can help if they arent interested in puzzles. They’ll keep your dog occupied for hours and are great to leave out while you’re away. You can also try leaving music or a radio talk show on during the day. Just make sure it’s not too loud or fast, which may end up creating anxiety.</image:caption>

<image:title>Paw Pals Dog Daycare - Back to School: How it Affects Your Family Pet - playtime</image:title>
<image:caption>One of the most common reasons for destructive behavior is a lack of exercise or stimulation, especially if your pet has just spent the summer running around and playing with the kids. As a substitute, introducing your pet to new animal friends, training classes, daycare or a pet sitter can be very helpful.</image:caption>

<image:title>Paw Pals Dog Daycare - Tips For Keeping Your Dog Cool This Summer - Stay Hydrated</image:title>
<image:caption>Keeping dogs cool in summer requires keeping plenty of water on hand. One of the easiest ways to keep your dog cool and hydrated is to carry a portable, collapsible water bowl and bottles of cold water. If your pup starts panting excessively, get him/her into the shade and offer more water right away.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Water can be a life saver for large breed dog’s such as a German Shepherd or Malamutes and they are a great source of amusement for you and your pup. If you ever decide to let your pup in a larger pool please do not leave your pup unattended. They can easily drown if they can’t find the way out.</image:caption>

<image:title>Paw Pals Dog Daycare - Tips For Keeping Your Dog Cool This Summer - Grooming</image:title>
<image:caption>Many dogs have their coats regularly clipped and it makes a huge difference to their core body temperature. You can also brush your pup. Brushing your pup can often remove much of the old coat that traps the heat close to their body. Some dogs will even shed a winter coat which needs to be removed. Chat to a groomer about whether your dog could benefit from a clip.</image:caption>

<image:title>Paw Pals Dog Daycare - Tips For Keeping Your Dog Cool This Summer - Signs of a Heat Stroke</image:title>
<image:caption>Heatstroke is a serious hazard for dogs on hot days, especially those who are very young or old, or not in good health. Watch for the following signs of heatstroke in your dog: Excessive panting and salivating, obvious discomfort, vomiting, diarrhea, disorientation, and seizures. If you see any of these signs in your dog, move him or her into a cooler environment right away and call your veterinarian. You can use ice packs and give your pet some cool water to alleviate the condition until you get to the veterinarian’s office. Many of the complications from heatstroke do not begin to appear until several days after the incident — but prompt veterinary care can potentially prevent or treat some of these complications. So, when you and your four-legged best friend head out this summer, remember these important tips for keeping dogs cool outside. And don’t forget to bring plenty of water and sunscreen for yourself!</image:caption>

<image:title>Paw Pals Dog Daycare - Home Grooming Tips</image:title>
<image:caption>Question: How often should I bathe my dog? Answer: Most vets recommend that you shouldn’t bathe your dog more than once a month, as more than that can dry out their skin. Obviously, if they roll in something messy or smelly, you can bathe them sooner, but there are many products for in-between use. There are many over-the-counter wipes and fragrance sprays that are safe to use on your dog. During baths, it is recommended to put cotton balls in your dog’s ears to keep water from getting in and causing some potential health issues. If you would like more advice on what to use, you can ask the pet store employees or your personal veterinarian. Question: What kind of shampoos should I use on my dog? Answer: The most commonly recommended type of shampoo is one with an oatmeal base. These are good for all skin types. If your dog needs a medicated shampoo, speak with your veterinarian on what to get.</image:caption>

<image:caption>No one loves you more unconditionally than your pet. It could even help you deal with and recover from depression. Your pet will listen to you talk for as long as you want to talk. You’ll probably feel calmer when you pet a cat or dog. And taking care of an animal -- walk with it, groom it, play with it -- takes you out of yourself and helps you feel better about the way you spend your time.</image:caption>

<image:caption>When children grow up in a home with a dog or cat they are less likely to develop allergies. The same is true for kids who live on a farm with large animals. Higher levels of certain immune system chemicals show a stronger immune system, which will help keep them healthy as they get older.</image:caption>

<image:caption>It only takes a few minutes with a dog or cat or watching fish swim to feel calmer and less stressed. Your body actually goes through physical changes in that time that make a difference in your mood. The level of cortisol, a stress hormone, lowers. And serotonin, a feel-good chemical your body makes, rises.</image:caption>

<image:caption>You still have to watch your weight and exercise. But having a pet can help you manage your blood pressure. In one study of 240 married couples, pet owners had lower blood pressure and lower heart rates during rest than people who didn’t have a pet. Another study showed that when children with high blood pressure petted their dog, their numbers improved.</image:caption>

<image:caption>You watch what you eat and work out. If you also have a pet, there could be a cholesterol perk. People who have pets tend to have better levels of cholesterol and triglycerides, compared to people who don’t. The reason for that isn’t clear. Part of it could be the more active lifestyle that comes with having pets.</image:caption>

<image:title>Paw Pals Dog Daycare - Raw Food Made Simple - Must Have Calcium</image:title>
<image:caption>Both dogs and growing puppies need enough calcium in their diet and they need some phosphorus to go with it because these minerals work closely together. Bones contain both calcium and phosphorus. On the other hand, meat is high in phosphorus and too low in calcium. About 1/3 of his diet should be nice meaty bones. Here are some good choices for meaty bones: - Chicken wings, necks, legs or thighs - Turkey necks (other bones are large) - Beef tail bones (great for larger dogs) - Lamb or goat necks or ribs You can also feed your dog whole animals such as whole fish, whole rabbit and whole poultry. These contain just the right amount of bone. Raw eggs with the shell on also contain the right ratio of calcium and phosphorus (just be sure they’re from the farm. Grocery store eggs can sometimes have a toxic spray in their shells).</image:caption>

<image:title>Paw Pals Dog Daycare - Raw Food Made Simple - Organs Are The Multi-Vitamins</image:title>
<image:caption>You’ll want to feed anywhere from 10% to 30% organ meats and this depends on how much you can get. If you can only find liver, just feed 10% organs, but if you’re lucky and you can find kidney, spleen, pancreas, brain and other delicious, nutritious organs, then feed them as a third of your dog’s diet. Never feed too much liver. Limit it to 10% of the diet because it’s really high in vitamin A and can give your dog diarrhea if you give too much. The same applies to any organ … no one organ should be more than 5% to 10% of your dog’s diet but if you have a few different ones, they can be 1/3 of your dog’s total meals. Organs would include: Liver, kidney, spleen, pancreas, brain, lung, and testicles. Just go easy on the organ meat at first because it can cause loose stools until your dog is used to all that nutrition. If your dog doesn’t like the taste at first, try frying it for a minute or so in a pan first.</image:caption>

<image:title>Paw Pals Dog Daycare - Raw Food Made Simple - Too Much Fat</image:title>
<image:caption>Fat is healthy for your dog … it helps with nerve and immune function and is critical for skin health. But fat carries a downside … fat contains twice the number of calories as protein and it contains very few vitamins and minerals. Overall, you don’t want fat to be much more than 10% and certainly no more than 20% of the diet. This doesn’t mean no fat! Your dog needs fat, but just not so much of it that it robs him of other important nutrients. High in Fat: Chicken neck with skin, pork belly, dark chicken or turkey meat with skin, and chicken neck with skin. Low in Fat: Chicken neck without skin, rabbit, most fish, light chicken or turkey meat with no skin. If you’re able to feed your dog whole fish, whole rabbit, or other whole animals with the bone in, they’re already balanced and you don’t need to add extra meat. If the carcass doesn’t have organs, be sure to add those back in.</image:caption>

<image:title>Paw Pals Dog Daycare - Raw Food Made Simple - Variety Counts</image:title>
<image:caption>Just like us, dogs need a variety of wholesome foods to provide them with a wide range of nutrients. Not to mention the fact that it’s boring to eat the same foods every day! Feed a wide variety of different foods, including different sources of meat and don’t forget to feed some of the “weird and icky things” such as chicken, duck or turkey feet, beef trachea, tails, lung and testicles. Parts like beef trachea and poultry feet are loaded with natural chondroitin and glucosamine, which help to build healthy joints and they’re reasonably priced. So adding the icky parts is a win-win.</image:caption>

<image:title>Paw Pals Dog Daycare - Raw Food Made Simple - Benefits of Raw</image:title>
<image:caption>Raw dog food diets are controversial, but the popularity of the diets which emphasize raw meat, bones, fruits, and vegetables is rising. Benefits of Feeding Raw - Shinier coats - Healthier skin - Cleaner teeth - Digestion - Higher energy levels At the end of the day you should choose what diet works well for you and your pet!</image:caption>

<image:title>Paw Pals Dog Daycare - 10 Facts about Shelter Pets - Shelter pets are not damaged</image:title>
<image:caption>Shelter pets are often family pets who have arrived at the shelter through no fault of their own. Life circumstances leave their families unable to continue caring for them. People often drop off their happy pet at the shelter, trusting that he’ll find a home fast because everyone will see the wonderful pet they know and love.</image:caption>

<image:title>Paw Pals Dog Daycare - 10 Facts about Shelter Pets - If you can’t adopt, you can save lives by volunteering to be a foster parent</image:title>
<image:caption>Some pets need medicine, time away from the shelter or a low-key place to recover from surgery. Fostering one of these pets saves lives. It makes more space in the shelter for other pets who can be adopted. You’ll be keeping the pet safe in your home until he’s ready for adoption, and it’s a great way for first-timers to try pet parenting. Everybody wins!</image:caption>

<image:title>Paw Pals Dog Daycare - 10 Facts about Shelter Pets - Shelter pets are healthy and normal</image:title>
<image:caption>Before being put up for adoption, most pets in shelters are given a complete medical exam, plus vaccinations and any necessary treatment. They have a clean bill of health before you even meet them. If you adopt a pet with a special condition, shelter staff will help you understand how to best care for your pet at home. Qualified shelter staff perform behavior assessments, too, so you can be sure your pet is safe and ready for a happy home.</image:caption>

<image:title>Paw Pals Dog Daycare - 10 Facts about Shelter Pets - Purebred Dogs at an Animal Shelter</image:title>
<image:caption>While there’s nothing wrong with muts some people might have their heart set on a specific breed and think that they have to buy them from a breeder but pet shelters often have purebred dogs available for adoption if you are patient and keep searching. Plenty of pet rescues also cater to specific breeds that they pull out of the shelters. While you might be less likely to find a purebred puppy at a shelter, they do show up once in a while too. When it comes to cats, the same rules apply. Sure, you’ll find plenty of domestic shorthair cats (the feline equivalent to a “mutt”) at your local shelter, but purebred cats abound, too.</image:caption>

<image:title>Paw Pals Dog Daycare - 10 Facts about Shelter Pets - The way a pet behaves in a shelter might be different from how he’ll act in a home</image:title>
<image:caption>Often, a pet will calm down with a family, and especially in a home. At a shelter, pets’ senses are bombarded with new sights, sounds, smells and visitors every day. That can make their behavior a bit different than what you might observe at home. To learn more about a pet, read their profile and talk to staff and volunteers. Maybe you could even take the pet home for a few days — some shelters offer short-term foster or foster-to-adopt options, or have a satisfaction-guaranteed policy in case things don’t work out as planned.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Many adult dogs will come to you with some training and may already know basic commands like sit, down and stay, or be housebroken. Adult dogs are generally easier to care for then puppies as well. Kitties might not be as hard to potty train as puppies, but they do come with tons of energy and an incredible ability to get into trouble. Adopting an adult cat might make it easier for you to sleep through the night. The shelter staff is also able to tell you more about the cat’s personality when they are an adult, so you can find a cat that best suits your lifestyle and family.</image:caption>

<image:title>Paw Pals Dog Daycare - 10 Facts about Shelter Pets - Animal Shelters Offer a Huge Variety to “Shop” From</image:title>
<image:caption>One of the great things about adopting from a pet shelter is that you have such a huge variety of animals to choose from. When you walk through the kennels, you’ll see animals old and young, big and small, short-haired and long-haired. In addition, Bank says that at many animal shelters, staff can assist you with information about a pet’s medical and behavior history. This is a huge advantage over getting a pet from a backyard breeder or a store, where you might not know much about the past of the animal and what you can expect. You may also get to spend time with your prospective pet outside of the kennel to see if you have a connection. In fact, many shelters have special meeting rooms where you can spend one-on-one time with the dog or cat you’re considering, so you can get to know them better.</image:caption>

<image:title>Paw Pals Dog Daycare - Home Pet Training Tips - House Rules</image:title>
<image:caption>When we first bring home our furry bundles of love, training is often the last thing on our minds, but this sometimes leads to the difficult task of breaking bad habits later. It’s best to decide what he/she can and can't do. Are they allowed on the bed or the furniture? Are parts of the house off limits? If the rules are settled on early, you can avoid confusion for both of you. Dogs want, need and love rules. You might think having strict rules makes life boring or unhappy for your dog. But dogs really want to know what’s what according to their leader.</image:caption>

<image:title>Paw Pals Dog Daycare - Home Pet Training Tips - Reward Good Behavior</image:title>
<image:caption>Using positive reinforcement is one of the easiest ways to train a dog. When training with the positive reinforcement method, you give the dog a reward to reinforce a behavior you like. For instance, if you ask your dog to sit and he does it, you give him a treat. You're rewarding his good behavior. Knowing which rewards your dog finds motivating can help make reward-based training fun and interesting for both you and your dog.</image:caption>

<image:title>Paw Pals Dog Daycare - Home Pet Training Tips - No Biting or Nipping</image:title>
<image:caption>Bite inhibition refers to a dog’s ability to control the force of his mouthing. A puppy or dog who hasn’t learned bite inhibition with people doesn’t recognize the sensitivity of human skin, and so he bites too hard, even in play. Some behaviorists and trainers believe that a dog who has learned to use his mouth gently when interacting with people will be less likely to bite hard and break skin if he ever bites someone in a situation apart from play like when he’s afraid or in pain.</image:caption>

<image:caption>When training your pet keep sessions short and fun. You want your dog to associate good things with obeying your commands. You also want to use training time as an opportunity to deepen your bond with your pet. Never end a training session upset at your pet because he/she isn’t doing a task correctly.</image:caption>

<image:title>Paw Pals Dog Daycare - Pet Home Safety - Be Sure to Put Things Away</image:title>
<image:caption>Sometimes our pets can be snoopy. The most common thing we see is pets getting into the garbage or eating something on the counter that they shouldn’t. To prevent your pet from accidentally ingesting something harmful, be sure to keep your place picked up, and put away any hazardous objects or food. If you know your pet shreds toys or shreds beds when nervous, it is best to put those items away while you are out of the house. Keep cabinets closed and latched. It will limit your pet’s access to cleaning supplies, garbage and other products or items that could make them ill. Use child-proof cabinet locks that require agile hands to open if your pet knows how to open cabinets.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Paw Pals Dog Daycare - Pet Home Safety - Chew-Free Electrical Cords</image:title>
<image:caption>Some dogs love to gnaw on electrical cords around the house. This is not only dangerous but also really irritating when they destroy your computer cables. Solve the problem by wrapping the cords with split flexible plastic conduit that you get at home centers and automotive stores. Just cut the length you need and push the cords into the pre-split slot. Your dog will soon lose interest in the cords so now you don’t need to fix them.</image:caption>

<image:title>Paw Pals Dog Daycare - Training Your Pets - Teaching your Dog to Stay</image:title>
<image:caption>Start with your dog in the position you want them to hold, whether it’s a sit or a down. For most purposes, it doesn’t matter which you choose, but bear in mind your dog’s comfort. A sit may be harder to maintain after a few minutes, where as a dog who’s lying down may feel more vulnerable in some situations. I wouldn’t ask a dog to remain in place on a hot, wet, or icy surface. Also, small and short-haired dogs can feel uncomfortable on a cold floor, while a Husky will likely revel in it. 1. Find a quiet place to practice and get your clicker and treats. Cue your dog into a sit or stay wait 2 seconds. 2. Proceed until you can wait 10 seconds. Begin to use the cue "sit/down stay" When you say "stay", use a hand signal that is your flat hand about a foot from your dog's face. 3. If your dog gets up, this means you are proceeding too quickly. Say "oops" and try again with a shorter stay time goal and build up slowly again. 4. Take one half step away from your dog and click and give them a trea for staying. Proceed until you can take 2 steps in ANY direction from your dog. 5. Take several steps away until you can go out of sight. And work until you can have him stay for 2 minutes while you are in sight.</image:caption>

<image:title>Paw Pals Dog Daycare - Training Your Pets - Teach your Cat to Fetch</image:title>
<image:caption>1. Get the cat to realize that the ball is the object you want them to focus on. Hold the ball in your fingers about 6 inches away from your cat’s face. When the cat sniffs it or touches it with her nose, click and offer a treat. Repeat until your cat is looking for the ball as soon as she is done eating the treat. 2. Get the cat to place her open mouth on the ball. Your cat will think about why she didn’t get a click when she touched the ball and then try something else, such as a slightly opened mouth on the ball. Watch for this and as soon as it happens, click then treat. 3. Get the cat to place her mouth on the ball and grab. Hold the ball out again, and when your cat touches it with an open mouth, click then treat. Keep doing this until the cat is consistently offering the behavior of putting her open mouth on the ball. 4. Get the cat to grab the ball from the ground. Place the ball in front of you on the ground. When your cat touches the ball (with closed mouth or open), click and treat. When your cat is eating the treat, take the ball away, then offer it again at another spot on the floor. Once your cat is touching the ball every time it is offered, then you can change the expectations to having her touch it with an open mouth. Monitor any frustration in your cat as you move from one step to the next. If she walks away from the session, back up and realize that she needs more time on the previous step. 5. This step is about picking up the ball. Place the ball on the ground and wait for the cat to place her open mouth on the ball and either roll it or bite enough to move the ball. Click then treat for either of these behaviors your cat offers. Again, when the cat is offering biting and pickup (even it if is for just a second), click then treat. Then, start working on clicking when the ball is in the mouth and toward the end of the pickup. In the beginning of this step it will be super quick, but as you progress you will notice your cat keeping the ball in her mouth longer. After you get your cat to pick up the ball and hold it in her mouth for about 10 seconds, then you can move on to step 6. 6. Place the ball a bit farther away from you, such as behind your cat. Your cat will turn, pick up the ball and turn toward you, at which point you then click and offer a treat. Keep doing this while moving the ball a bit farther away from you each time. Now you have the behavior of fetch.</image:caption>

<image:title>Paw Pals Dog Daycare - Training Your Pets - Teach Guniea Pig to Spin</image:title>
<image:caption>1. Before you start this trick your guinea pig must trust and eat out of your hand. This can be frustrating. It helps to have a treat that your guinea pig enjoys and can eat somewhat quickly. Don't give your guinea pig too much of the treat, or it will get full. To start this trick, your guinea pig must follow your hand with the treat in it. 2. Start doing circular patterns with the treat. Make sure you pick one direction (clockwise or counter clockwise) and stick with it. Make sure to reward your pig with small piece of the treat for every circle. After a while your guinea pig will expect a circle. 3. Assign a key word or phrase to this trick. Every time you want your guinea pig to do a circle, say the exact same word or phrase like "circle", "turn", or "do a circle". Make sure to keep your phrase short and sweet. 4. Make sure to reward them for every circle. It is important that you never change the direction of the circle. After the circle is mastered, make sure to practice it often enough so that your guinea pig doesn't forget the trick.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Sit on the floor and let them come to you. Don’t force it you want them to get acquainted on their own time. If your cat doesn’t approach, leave them alone and try again later. Some cats are particularly frightened, and they may retreat to their hide away and not come out when you’re around at all. They may only come out at night when the house is quiet. Give her time. Your new cat may not eat much or at all at first. It’s best to give your cat the same food they had at the shelter or in her foster home, at least at first. Keeping some things familiar will make her feel more secure. Be sure to change her water frequently and make sure that she is drinking. If your cat hasn’t eaten for a few days, call your vet to ask for advice.</image:caption>

It’s best to replicate that schedule for at least the first few days to avoid an upset stomach. If you wish to switch to a different brand, do so over a period of about a week by adding one part new food to three parts of the old for several days; then switch to half new food, half old, and then one part old to three parts new. <image:caption>We know moving is stressful, and your new dog feels the same way! Give him time to get used to your home and family before introducing him to strangers. Make sure children know how to approach the dog without overwhelming him. Teach children to let your new pup smell their hand. Most dogs who are still getting used to, you will be skittish we wouldn’t recumbent petting the top of the pup's head. When you put your hand over the pup's head they can’t see your hand so it can make them nervous.</image:caption>

<image:caption>If you plan on crate training Be sure to introduce your pup to the crate gradually. Make it a Safe place for your pup to be. Put a blanket and some of their toys and treats in the crate. You don’t want to make the crate something your new pup fears.</image:caption>

<image:title>Paw Pals Dog Daycare - What To Expect The First Month After Adopting Your New Cat or Dog - For the first few days</image:title>
<image:caption>You want to be calm and quiet around your dog, limiting too much excitement (such as the dog park or neighborhood children). Not only will this allow your dog to settle in easier, it will give you more one-on-one time to get to know him and his likes/dislikes. A lot of people say they don’t see their dog’s true personality until several weeks after adoption. Your dog may be a bit uneasy at first as he gets to know you. Be patient and understanding while also keeping to the schedule you intend to maintain for feeding, walks, etc. This schedule will show your dog what is expected of them as well as what they can expect from you.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Dogs have about one-sixth the number of taste buds that humans do. Some dogs love sweat treats. However not all sweat food is good for your dog. Xylitol is found in Candy, gum, toothpaste, baked goods, and some diet foods that are sweetened with xylitol. It can cause your dog's blood sugar to drop and can also cause liver failure. Early symptoms include vomiting, lethargy, and coordination problems. Eventually, your dog may have seizures. Liver failure can happen within just a few days.</image:caption>

Just a little beer, liquor, wine, or food with alcohol can be bad. It can cause vomiting, diarrhea, coordination problems, breathing problems, coma, even death and the smaller your dog, the worse it can be.</image:caption>

<image:title>Paw Pals Dog Daycare - Why Use A Professional Pet Sitter?</image:title>
<image:caption>Is pet sitting the best option for your pet? If work or travel will keep you away from your pets, you've likely considered various pet-care options, from asking for help from a family member or friend to securing the services of a professional pet sitter. For pet owners who want the best care for their pets and who want the peace of mind that comes from using an educated, responsible pet-care provider, professional pet sitters are a great choice!</image:caption>

<image:title>Paw Pals Dog Daycare - Why Use A Professional Pet Sitter?</image:title>
<image:caption>Why should you only use a professional pet sitter? As the pet-care industry grows, it is important that pet owners are more prudent than ever when selecting a pet sitter. As more and more online pet-sitter directories become available, it is important to research any site you are considering using to find a pet sitter and pay special attention to the service providers listed. Consider these questions: Does the site have requirements for listing? Are the service providers listed professional businesses or does the site accept listings from kids, college students and other non-professional sitters? Does the site differentiate between professional and non-professional sitters? Sited from Pet Sitters International (PSI)</image:caption>

<image:title>Paw Pals Dog Daycare - Why Use A Professional Pet Sitter?</image:title>
<image:caption>What does a pet sitter do? “Pet sitting” is defined as “the act of caring for a pet in its own home while the owner is away.” Dog walking is also a form of pet sitting since it involves coming to the pet’s home to provide exercise and companionship. As the definition above indicates, pet sitters care for your pets in your home. Pet owners often use pet sitters when they go on a vacation, travel for business or are working long hours. Pet sitters often offer more than one pet-sitting visit per day, and some pet sitters offer overnight stays as well.</image:caption>

<image:title>Paw Pals Dog Daycare - Why Use A Professional Pet Sitter?</image:title>
<image:caption>During the pet-sitting visits, pet sitters perform a variety of tasks, including: - Feeding the pets and changing their water bowls - Providing exercise and play time (may include walking the dog) - Cleaning litter boxes and cleaning up any other pet messes - Administering pet medications, if needed - Providing lots of TLC!!!! Pet sitters also often bring in mail or newspapers and alternate blinds and lights to give the home a “lived-in look” if the owners are away. Pet sitters may also perform other tasks as requested by the pet owners.</image:caption>
